Going back to work this morning after a much needed vacation (and it was splendid indeed), I have just realized that this August I entered the third year of my professional life.
The learning curve for the last two years has been so steep that to say that I learned a lot of things would be such an understatement. Capital market in general and my current employer in particular has given me a new pair of glasses that forever changed the way I see the world. And I am grateful for that.
I still react to things the same way though. I still say what I want to say, I still listen to what I should not want to listen to, and I still could make a great compromise in order to achieve an even greater good. And I am also grateful for that, especially since I have been wearing a different pair of glasses.
They say that when we travel, we learn about ourselves more than we learn about the foreign land we are visiting. Despite how pretentious it sounds, I have to second the motion; My recent Tokyo trip confirmed that. And I am most grateful for that.
